Dr. Angela Stengler is a licensed naturopathic medical doctor who has a passion for helping patients using nutritional and natural therapies. Her introduction to holistic medicine began in college during her junior year abroad while studying in England. She experienced first-hand the dramatic healing effects of a topical herbal therapy prescribed by a nurse for her injured foot. This positive experience, along with support from her pre-medical advisor who was researching the use of Chinese mushrooms and cancer, led to her decision to focus on integrative medicine instead of conventional medicine.
While finding the cause of symptoms and illness is her first priority, Dr. Ang wants each patient to feel confident as they work together to uncover the best path for optimal health. From working with parents to improve their children’s health, educating young athletes to use food for optimal performance, helping women achieve healthy weight, normalize their blood sugar, hormones, as well as reduce co morbidities associated with conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, Dr. Angela strives to give the patient the power to improve his or her quality of life. While lab tests and natural therapeutics are often suggested, Dr. Ang makes sure to discuss with each patient the reason behind each suggestion. When a patient desires a second opinion or wants to discuss a sensitive topic, Dr. Ang is ready to listen, research, and give referrals when asked.
Angela’s favorite things to do include: spending time with her family and exploring new areas and adventure. She especially loves the outdoors.
Angela is an author, teacher, and speaker. She has been the co-host of a national television show focusing on natural therapies and currently is a co-host with her husband on the syndicated radio show Forever Young.
