How Fish Oil Fights Prostate Cancer

A couple of years back, a shoddy study made big headlines by claiming fish oil can increase the risk of prostate cancer. It’s not true; fish oil is actually a potent cancer-fighter, and I hope you didn’t stop taking it – because new research confirms it can stop the disease cold, especially in men. Specifically, the omega-3 fatty acid eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) appears to bind to free fatty acid receptor 4, which in turn stops the growth of cancer cells. And while the new experiments used prostate cancer cells – proving EPA can help prevent or even reverse the disease, not cause it – it seems quite likely this would be just as effective against other forms of cancer. The researchers behind the new study are already talking about trying to turn EPA into a cancer drug. But why wait until tomorrow? Take fish oil daily and get protection from this disease today.
