Study Shows Exercise Cuts Breast Cancer Risk

As we all know, regular exercise is one of the best ways to improve your overall health. But today, I’m going to focus on just one benefit – one reason for women in particular to get moving every day: Regular exercise will cut your risk of breast cancer. Postmenopausal woman who get four hours of light to moderate activity per week – including bicycling and even walking – are 10 percent less likely to suffer from breast cancer than women who exercise less, according to the study in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention. The key is to keep at it – because, not surprisingly, the study finds that the cancer-fighting benefits end the moment you stop exercising.
