One Minute With Dr. Mark Stengler | Testosterone Replacement Therapy

There are a lot of misconceptions about testosterone replacement therapy. For example, there was a study done a couple years ago which showed an increased risk of heart disease in men who supplemented testosterone, but that study was really debunked. A 2013 study where they actually involved a hundred different studies found no association between testosterone replacement and cardiovascular risk. Of course, when you compile one hundred studies, versus one odd study, it’s much more accurate. Also, they've done studies on testosterone replacement and risk of prostate cancer. All of the large studies show that there is no association between testosterone replacement in men and the risk of prostate cancer. So, that’s good news for all the millions of men out there require testosterone replacement!
